MY
ProjecTs
Here are a few projects that I have created over my time at Wheaton College! Featured are some of my favorites:)
Animation
This is my final for my animation class. I made a frog and was able to demonstrate some of the rules of animation that I learned over the semester.
Theme and Variations on “La Vie en Rose”
This is a piece I composed in my composition class last semester at Wheaton College. It was quite a challenge at first because I've never played any of the instruments I wrote for, but with some guidance, I created a classic 'themes and variation' piece.

Program note from Performance
I was scared at first to tackle this piece (by Édith Piaf) because of my lack of ability to read or pronounce the French title “La Vie en Rose”. But after listening to the song on repeat for the last few months (and doing some more background research), I couldn’t resist the possibility of hearing the beautiful melody being played by a string quartet.
After hearing this dreamy love song with the meaning “life in pink,” or “life seen through rose colored glasses”, I attempted for each variation to be a different take on the feelings of love and heartbreak. In each variation, I take the melody and try to portray some sort of visceral emotion, each one different from the last. Whether that be the idea of exploration and ease, sorrow and longing, or angst and anger, I try to conceptualize life’s most complex feelings in other colors other than just “pink”.
